Ashley Hales is a writer, speaker, church planter and mother to four. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
In her new book, Finding Holy in the Suburbs: Living Faithfully in the Land of Too Much (IVP, 2018), Ashley writes about finding herself in a place she would not have chosen and seeking to learn how to offer and receive hospitality in the name of Jesus. What I love most about this book is that she confronts the idols of consumerism, individualism, and busyness without the quick fix of abandoning the suburbs. This book is really about living out belovedness, generosity, vulnerability and shalom wherever you find yourself.
