Peace.Seriously.What do you think about it?Before reading what someone else thinks on Twitter or Facebook or Fox or CNN…What do you think?What informs your perspective? What don’t you know? What do you need to learn? Who do you need to be around? What do you need to unlearn?What kind of time do you need to reflect before you respond?If you want to be a person that carries authority, if you want to be taken seriously, if you want to make a lasting difference, you must pause and gain some internal sense of where you stand.Ask questions. Dig until you get to the thing underneath the thing. Name the deep, not-gonna-change values that guide you and what you want to see in the world.And then speak. Respond. Stand in that firm footing. Lead with authority.Let’s be people of substance in these times of uncertainty. We can do this, my friends.
