This Good Word, Episode 60: Watchpost (ShowNotes)
The wisest people I've met have all - at many points in their lives - come to a place where they realize they can't see all they need to see. So they climb up to a place where they can see more. Then they stand watch, waiting for the time when they need to act. Then, they humbly act, and change happens in their own lives, and in the world.More than any other time in my life, I'm convinced that we need humble human beings to climb up out of their self-referential quagmires so they can see more. You can't possibly know all you need to know. You can't possibly see all you need to see. Climbing to a place where you can see something which you can't currently see takes humility, patience, and great courage.Do you want to be the kind of person that hides, or the kind of person that sees more so you can be a part of healthy, holistic change in the world? What is your watchpost? What do you see? That's what I'm talking about on the podcast today. Enjoy, friends. (Click here if you don't see the media player below).
