This Good Word, Episode 51: Not Bad Enough with Andy Gullahorn and Joel Hanson
Andy Gullahorn is one of my very favorite singer/songwriters. I have all of his records and am a bit of a geeky fanboy, if I'm completely honest. His writing is layered with meaning, and he takes great joy in turning a phrase that messes with you just enough to let you drop your guard. Here's an example from his most recent record:
He said you're never gonna lose my loveGo ahead and trySo you drank from the river until it all ran dryAnd you run from your conscienceFast as you canCause you're going to hell again and againBut oh, even there, there is hopeThere is graceEven hell is not a god forsaken place
Joel Hanson joined us for this conversation, and I loved it so much. If you know Andy's music, you're in for a treat. If you don't, I think you might get hooked after listening to this one.Enjoy! Get in Touch with Andy:Andy's MusicOn Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, or his website, which he updates all. the. time. Seriously. All the time.
