This Good Word, Episode 41: The Global Immersion Project with Jer Swigart and Steve Haines (ShowNotes)

Jer-Swigart-POSTJer Swigart is the co-director (alongside Jon Huckins) of The Global Immersion Project, which cultivates everyday peacemakers through immersion in global conflict. Jer is passionate and extremely articulate about envisioning a future where we learn to:

  • See the humanity, dignity, and image of God in every human being;
  • Immerse ourselves in situations and with people that are different from us and which take us out of our comfort zones;
  • Contend not by trying to win or fight, but by getting creative with love;
  • Restore that which is fragmented into wholeness with God and with each other.

Our conversation was passionate and prophetic, and I won't soon forget it. I'm so grateful for friends like Jer who lead the way towards a future that is marked by actively pursuing peace.Enjoy!(If you don't see the player below, click here to listen)* * *

Sobriety and Spirit

Click here for more information about Sobriety and Spirit, my one day event with Seth Haines that is happening on June 25th, 2016, in St. Paul, MN. Sobriety and Spirit is for anyone who wants to enter into an honest conversation about addiction, sobriety, grace, and spirituality. It is for those of us who are addicted – to chemicals, to approval, to obtaining the perfect body, to performance, to sex, or to anything else. It’s also for those who love addicts like us. We hope you’ll join us, no matter where you are at on your journey. We hope you’ll leave with hope, and with some new friends who are fellow travelers on a similar journey.
